I admit it--I love sunflowers! This beauty was being lit from behind throwing most of the face in shadow with a few peeks of light. This watercolor was painted on Arches watercolor paper with Winsor & Newton watercolor paints.
About Vikki Bouffard
Victoria (Vikki) Bouffard has been working as an artist for most of her life. In childhood, drawing was a favorite pastime. She began painting as a young mother, first working in oils. She studied watercolor for five years and later acrylics and colored pencil. Most recently she has been working in pastel, along with watercolor which remains her most prominent medium. She captures a “moment” in her paintings and loves the beauty of flowers, the serenity of landscapes, brooks and ocean. Work in still life is an exciting opportunity for Vikki to play with light, shadows, and the nuances of color on objects.
