I'm going to be really honest here. I had painted this hanging pot of fuchsia a couple of years ago, and after looking at the painting for a while, thought it needed a little something in the lower right corner. Then I remembered that I often see little hummingbirds coming to this pot of flowers and there I had my answer. This is one of my favorites for a shady spot and every year I purchase a hanging pot of fuchsia. I hope you like my addition!
Victoria (Vikki) Bouffard has been working as an artist for most of her life. In childhood, drawing was a favorite pastime. She began painting as a young mother, first working in oils. She studied watercolor for five years and later acrylics and colored pencil. Most recently she has been working in pastel, along with watercolor which remains her most prominent medium. She captures a “moment” in her paintings and loves the beauty of flowers, the serenity of landscapes, brooks and ocean. Work in still life is an exciting opportunity for Vikki to play with light, shadows, and the nuances of color on objects.
