"Daffs for Spring" is a painting depicting some of the first flowers to bloom in my perennial garden every Spring. It is done in a loose style, although still representational. I love the way the daffodils look this way and that, and seem to follow the sun. Hope you enjoy this painting!
Victoria (Vikki) Bouffard has been working as an artist for most of her life. In childhood, drawing was a favorite pastime. She began painting as a young mother, first working in oils. She studied watercolor for five years and later acrylics and colored pencil. Most recently she has been working in pastel, along with watercolor which remains her most prominent medium. She captures a “moment” in her paintings and loves the beauty of flowers, the serenity of landscapes, brooks and ocean. Work in still life is an exciting opportunity for Vikki to play with light, shadows, and the nuances of color on objects.
