A wintery landscape can be a beautiful thing, especially when you know Spring is just around the corner. The bushes and trees begin to have just a little bit of extra color so you know Spring is on the way. This is a pastel painting which shows, I hope, the last snowfall of the Winter!
Victoria (Vikki) Bouffard has been working as an artist for most of her life. In childhood, drawing was a favorite pastime. She began painting as a young mother, first working in oils. She studied watercolor for five years and later acrylics and colored pencil. Most recently she has been working in pastel, along with watercolor which remains her most prominent medium. She captures a “moment” in her paintings and loves the beauty of flowers, the serenity of landscapes, brooks and ocean. Work in still life is an exciting opportunity for Vikki to play with light, shadows, and the nuances of color on objects.
