A lovely balcony in Tuscany, with flowering geraniums all lined up in terra cotta pots is the image for this watercolor painting. The ornate wooden balcony caught my attention, along with the vibrant colors of the flowers.

Victoria (Vikki) Bouffard has been working as an artist for most of her life. In childhood, drawing was a favorite pastime. She began painting as a young mother, first working in oils. She studied watercolor for five years and later acrylics and colored pencil. Most recently she has been working in pastel, along with watercolor which remains her most prominent medium. She captures a “moment” in her paintings and loves the beauty of flowers, the serenity of landscapes, brooks and ocean. Work in still life is an exciting opportunity for Vikki to play with light, shadows, and the nuances of color on objects.
